Our Ministries
Journey Outreach volunteers work diligently to cook, sort clothes, provide counsel, and just love on those we serve. We are the hands and feet of Jesus Christ! We are blessed each week we get to serve God’s children.
Feeding Ministry
A team of 15-20 volunteers who during the week plan, purchase, cook, and serve meals at a pop-up spot outdoors or a designated spot indoors. Currently this location is the Calvary Chapel in Bemidji. The mobile ministry used in the warmer months is set up and taken down within 15 minutes at the County Admin Parking Lot on Irvine Avenue, Bemidji, MN 
HouseholdKits
A team of people who collect and sort household items to create kits for those who have nothing and who are trying to begin their lives again. The items include kitchen pots/pans; silverware; dishes; all purpose towels, etc. 
Food Outreach Ministry
(not including the Sunday meals) We provide a box of groceries to those who are in need. When we are aware of the need, food is ready to be disbursed at a moment's notice! |
Bread Ministry
A team of people who pick up bread from a local distributor and deliver to area food shelfs (Bemidji and Cass Lake); local shelters and other agencies who provide for the homeless and less fortunate. 
Clothing
A team of people who prepare weekly clothing bins for the Sunday outreach. Donations are collected, sorted, organized and taken to be distributed. Those items to be distributed include gently used men’s and women’s coats, jackets, blankets, sleeping bags, sweatshirts, jeans, pants, shoes, socks, underwear (new), bras, hats, mittens and scarves. 
Prayer Ministry
Individuals or groups pray for the specific needs of the ministry. i.e. helpers, donations of all kinds, but mostly that we are thankful for how the Lord provides what we need to give to those in need. |
